BMLL is the leading independent provider of harmonised Level 3, 2 and 1 historical data and analytics across global equities, ETFs, futures and US equity options. We provide market participants with immediate access to granular T+1 order book data and advanced analytics, enabling them to accelerate research, optimise trading strategies, and better understand market behaviour.
Our IT Department provides our business with technical support and incident management across core infrastructure, business systems and IT equipment, including bespoke applications and systems. This role is based in our London office and will support our employees based in the office and employees working from home.
As a member of the IT Service Desk, you will be the first point of contact for all incoming IT support requests through slack requests, email/Jira tickets and face-to-face requests; the team ensure that all calls are answered and issues are logged, diagnosed and resolved or escalated where applicable within agreed timeframes.
Requirements
- Essential:
- Minimum Computer Science Degree (or equivalent IT degree)
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of Windows operating system
- Knowledge/background of working with computers
- Demonstrate ability to work on their own
- Experienced in “hands on” maintenance of hardware, laptops and printers (beneficial, but not essential)
- Required to be in the office Tues, Wed, Thurs. Occasional out of hours work required (time can be given off in lieu)
- Desirable:
- Knowledge of Linux and Mac operating systems
- Understanding of networks
