About the Role BMLL facilitates its clients\’ access to its petabytes of granular data and derived insights via three main products. We are looking for a driven and eager-to-learn junior UX/UI designer who will help to design and improve user experience across these products, implementing new features and being involved in exciting projects involving some of the largest financial institutions across the globe. This is a junior role, so we don’t expect years of experience. If you’re fresh out of university with a relevant degree or perhaps you have a year or so of experience, we’d love to hear from you. As this is a technical product, involving complex financial concepts, an interest (not necessarily experience) in finance and technology are strongly desired. Key Responsibilities Research competitor products and best practices across new and emerging technology products Collaborate with engineering, product and other teams to build modern, intuitive designs for new features and UI enhancements Create wireframes and high fidelity prototypes using Figma Optimise developer experience with clean and accurate high fidelity designs Write product requirements documents for new features Required Skills & Experience 1+ year of experience in product design OR a degree in relevant subject (e.g. Product Design, Computer Science, UX Design, etc.) Hands on experience with Figma, Adobe XD or similar Excellent spoken and written communication skills Strong foundational knowledge of UI design principles Desirable Skills Exposure to financial services markets or concepts Basic understanding of web development technologies, like HTML & CSS Familiarity with B2B/enterprise platforms, such as CRMs Understanding of accessibility and responsiveness in designing for different devices Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex issues to different stakeholders, both business and technical. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment. Agile development and continuous delivery methodologies knowledge is a plus.
