BMI UK&I have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Plant Administrator to join our team in Rassau. This role will be 22 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 09:00 - 14:30.
Role Summary
The Plant Administrator is responsible for managing plant administrative systems in support of the plant team. The role requires an experienced, organised and disciplined administrator capable of working in a manufacturing environment. It is essential that they are able to follow and maintain BMI working standards, procedures and processes whilst able to use their own initiative to provide key support to the plant and wider teams. The role ensures all administration duties are up to date, as well as understanding all plant and Company initiatives and changes to processes, understanding the knock-on effects of such changes, preparing for them, and supporting the business as required. The role also works to required processes and time‑scales. The role will also support with payroll processing, requiring attention to detail and accuracy.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
- Creating and managing purchase orders.
- Input of figures and production of timely and accurate raw material utilisation including entry of good receipt notes and closing stock figures.
- Assisting production management in processing hourly paid hours for transfer to the payroll department in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Collating salaried overtime data for the payroll department.
- Obtaining data from operational sources and presenting findings easily.
- Collection of weekly and monthly KPI information.
- Responsible for ensuring orders and GRN’s for the site are entered onto the SAP system in an accurate, complete and timely fashion to ensure effective processing of invoicing.
- Maintain a diary of events for site, e.g. essential meetings, training etc.
- Administration of some maintenance stores activities, for example PI counts.
- Answering incoming phone calls as well as receiving visitors.
- Other ad hoc administration tasks as necessary.
Your Key Skills And Experience Will Include
- Experience in administration and operations within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail, especially with regard to data entry and financial reporting.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of payroll processes and experience handling payroll‑related tasks is a plus.
- Knowledge of Mitrefinch or other Time Management Systems.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexibility and a proactive attitude in taking on additional tasks as required.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure smooth communication and coordination.
- Good understanding of MRP systems, preferably SAP (R3/S4‑HANA) (desirable).
- Google suite knowledge (desirable).
