Standard Hours (inc shift pattern): Rotating 4 on, 4 off shift pattern. This will rotate between days (5:00am - 5:30pm) and nights (5:00pm - 5:30am)
BMI UK&I have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join our team. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role is based in South Cerney.
Role Summary
You will work as part of a team of Maintenance Technicians to ensure that the Production Lines are maintained and fully operational in order to achieve maximum efficiency levels and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) targets. The role will work closely with both the Production and Technical Specialists teams to ensure that CI projects, planned maintenance activities, Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and waste targets are achieved and delivered. You will be a Competent Production Line Engineer with the ability to resolve breakdowns safely and efficiently so that production volumes are maximised and the working environment remains safe and hazard free.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
- Support the production line to allow for maximum quality and efficiency.
- Contribute to hourly/daily/weekly performance reviews
- Ensure waste levels are minimised to achieve line targets
- Define, plan and lead maintenance tasks.
- Develop and encourage autonomous maintenance for Production Operators.
- Lead/Coordinate all Production line breakdown activities
- Complete root cause analysis to identify and implement preventative solutions (Line action plans) so that overall efficiency levels are maintained.
- Support successful implementation of planned maintenance and new improvement projects to support the growth and development of the site.
- Ensure breakdowns/repairs are logged on CMMS (Computerised Maint. Management System) so that a visible log of incidents and how they were resolved is available for all Technicians.
- Take ownership of your own training plan so that you continue to increase your skills and the Company can support your development.
Your Key Skills And Experience Will Include
- HNC/D in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
- Relevant IOSH Safety Training
- Multi-Skilled Engineer with experience and knowledge of a production line environment.
- Analytical skills with drive to implement improvements
- Able to fault find on both electrical & pneumatic systems
- Experience of a target driven/KPI focussed environment (desirable)
- Exposure to a Roof tile manufacturing environment (desirable)
