In this position, you will lead BMG's UK copyright team, driving efficient copyright administration, maximizing income opportunities, and fostering strong relationships with clients and partners. This is an 8-month FTC covering maternity leave, starting in July 2025.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and develop a team responsible for copyright administration, song delivery, sample clearance, and neighbouring rights.
- Maintain and grow relationships with writers, publishers, PROs, and industry organizations.
- Identify and capitalize on income growth opportunities for client catalogs.
- Manage sub-publishers and contribute to strategic decisions regarding BMG's sub-publishing network.
- Collaborate with UK Publishing and Finance teams.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives and participate in the UK Senior Leadership Team.
- Extensive experience in copyright administration and music publishing.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Strong understanding of copyright law and industry practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with tracking and collaboration tools (such as Jira).
