Copyright Assistant, Part-time (14 hours per week)
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Copyright Assistant to join our Copyright team. This is an incredible opportunity for an individual with a passion for music and a desire to learn about the intricacies of music publishing copyright. As a Copyright Assistant, you will provide essential support to the wider Copyright team by assisting with song entry, data cleanup, system updates and various administrative tasks. This is a junior-level role, ideal for someone looking to start their career in the music industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Song Entry and Maintenance - Accurately input and update song data in BMG\'s copyright management systems. This includes song titles, songwriter information, publisher details, and other relevant metadata.
- System Updates and Maintenance -Assist with updating copyright records in our systems to reflect accurate ownership information, metadata details, contractual data, and other changes.
- Data Cleanup Projects - Participate in data cleanup projects to identify and correct errors or inconsistencies in existing copyright data.
- Email Communications Support - Assisting with drafting and sending email communications to internal and external stakeholders. Monitoring the Copyright team\'s inbox, flagging urgent items, and responding to routine enquiries.
- General administrative support to the Copyright team
Your Profile:
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- First class communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with music publishing, copyright and collection societies is advantageous but not essential.
