Job Description:
Our clients include the largest government departments, such as Defra, the Department for Business and Trade, the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, HMRC, the Home Office and the Department for Education. We also work with government agencies and regulators, local authorities, charities, utility companies and housing associations. Our projects range from small to large, from exploratory research to evaluation, and from qualitative to quantitative, including a number of Official Statistics.
We are now recruiting for Senior Research Executives to join the team who wish to develop and progress within a friendly, informal environment that provides support, training and personal development opportunities
We have specific opportunities to work across a range of topics including:
- The development of official statistics for tourism and leisure
- Energy policy feedback and customer satisfaction with utilities
- Health policy
- Policy evaluation and impact measurement
Key Responsibilities
- Designing research materials e.g. questionnaires and topic guides
- Background research to support proposal and report writing
- Preparing presentations and reports for clients to a high standard
- Client servicing and management
- Day-to-day project delivery; including planning, problem solving and delivery with supervision
- Analysing and investigating data to uncover impactful insights
- Reporting results in a clear, concise and usable way
Person Specification:
- Understanding of the end-to-end research process
- Ability to work independently on core research tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities accompanied by good numerical skills
- An interest in, and knowledge of society and current affairs
- An understanding of data and statistics
- An ability to write around data/findings (to tell an accurate and interesting story)
- A full working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Effective and efficient time management
- Data analytics systems e.g. SPSS, Q, SAS
- Primary research and/or fieldwork
- Data charting tools
