We are looking for a Senior Research Executive who is curious, collaborative, and excited to have a visible impact. As a Senior Research Executive, you will sit at the heart of our insight and project delivery. No two days are the same. One moment you will be exploring data to uncover what really drives behaviour. The next, you will be steering a project team, shaping research materials, or guiding clients through findings that have realâworld impact. Whether you are more insight focused, more projectâmanagement focused, or enjoy a mix of both, this role offers variety, ownership, and significant opportunities for growth. It is an ideal opportunity for someone eager to deepen their expertise, take on new challenges, and make a real difference.
What You Will Be Doing
- Design meaningful research: Develop and review research instruments such as questionnaires, topic guides, and sampling plans. Ensure materials are high quality, fit for purpose, and aligned with client needs.
- Lead project delivery: Take ownership of aspects of project planning, fieldwork oversight, data analysis, and project management. Keep timelines on track, spot issues early, communicate with colleagues and help improve how we work.
- Build strong rapport with clients: Build trusted relationships with clients by understanding their challenges and communicating clearly. Manage dayâtoâday client interactions, updates, and expectations.
- Turning data into meaningful stories: Turn data into clear, compelling insight, telling the story behind the numbers and highlighting what clients need to know. Draft reports, charts, commentaries, and presentations that are engaging and actionable.
- Support and coach junior colleagues: Provide guidance, feedback, and support to junior team members, helping them develop their skills and confidence. Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture where everyone can thrive.
- Support quality, compliance, and good practice: Ensure all research delivery meets ethics and GDPR requirements. Ensure outputs are accurate, consistent, and insightful through quality checks.
What You Will Bring
We are looking for someone with at least 2 to 3 years of experience in research who brings curiosity, structure, and strong communication skills. You will thrive in this role if you have:
- Strong analytical and research abilities, with experience interpreting data and shaping insight.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially with clients.
- Solid project management skills: organised, structured, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
- Experience coaching or supporting junior colleagues.
- A commitment to accuracy, attention to detail, and delivering high quality work.
- A positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges.
Working for BMG Research
You will join a friendly, collaborative team of more than 50 researchers based in Birmingham and London, all passionate about using insight to improve society. As part of the global RSK Group, you will also gain access to a wide network of experts, specialist training, and opportunities to develop your career in new and exciting ways.

- A supportive culture centred on fairness, wellbeing, and personal development.
- Access to Smart Health, mental health support, and trained internal champions.
