Job Summary & Role Description
We are looking for a Foreman to join our team on a permanent basis. The first project will be based in the Wiltshire area and involves repairing a culvert, concrete repair, kerbing and paving. Candidates must be able to travel and stay away throughout the week. The role is a full‑time, site‑based position responsible for overseeing construction teams, supervising daily operations, subcontractors and plant machinery, and acting as a bridge between management and operatives. Key focus areas include safety compliance, quality control, adherence to technical drawings and timely delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Supervision – manage crews, plant and materials for earthworks, drainage and infrastructure projects.
- Health & Safety – conduct inductions, daily briefings and toolbox talks to maintain strict HSE standards.
- Operational Planning – schedule work activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and drawings.
- Progress Monitoring – track progress and record daily site activities for site management.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
- Extensive site‑based civil engineering experience.
- Valid CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
- SSSTS (Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme) or SMSTS certification.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
