Responsibilities and Qualifications

• Mainframe Knowledge: A deep understanding of z/OS principals and common systems/applications software is essential.
• Candidates without detailed mainframe knowledge but with a strong background in enterprise systems operations data visualization will also be considered.
• Computer Science or Engineering degree or work experiences a strong plus.
• Team player with strong communication skills.
• Proven analytic/business analysis skills.
• Clear and concise presentation skills.
• Experience with one of the following mainframe products families:
  • Monitors/Automation
  • Storage

Desired Qualifications

• Knowledgeable & experienced in software development.
• Knowledgeable & experienced in enterprise system management.
• Strong understanding and work experience in an Agile framework.
• Solid understanding of the role mainframes plays in today\’s enterprise customer-facing applications.
• An Operational Resilience or Cyber Security background.

The annual base salary range represents the low and high end of the BMC salary range for this position. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of BMC\’s employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits. At BMC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at /near the top of the range. A reasonable estimate of the current range is £ 58,350 – £ 97,250.
