Organization Context

BMC IT operates as a global organization with presence across Americas, EMEA, and APAC, delivering services and technology solutions across multiple geographies.

This role will be part of the global Quote to Cast IT function, driving alignment of Quote to cash processes, systems, and integrations across regions.

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Business Architect to lead the design, optimization, and governance of Quote to Cash technology solutions with a strong focus on Quote to cash flow including Sales Quoting, Billing, Sales commissions, and AI-driven user experiences including Journeys and Agentic AI capabilities.

The Business Architect will lead the analysis, design, and implementation of enterprise grade solutions primarily in Order processing -quote to cash, commissions process flow.

This role acts as a key IT resource to partner with Business, IT teams to ensure seamless integration, compliance, and optimization of Quote to cash systems to support organizational goals.

This role will act as a strategic bridge between IT and Senior business stakeholders, delivering scalable, standardized, and compliant Quote to cash solutions to support BMC’s global digital transformation agenda.

Key Responsibilities

  • 1. Quote to Cash Business Architecture & Strategy
  • Define and own the quote to cash roadmap aligned with business strategy.
  • Design end-to-end Quote to Cash processes with global standardization.
  • Drive process simplification, automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Conduct fit-gap analysis, workshops, and solution design discussions.
  • 2. Solutions Ownership
  • Act as functional and architectural SME for Quote to Cash modules

• Lead Business requirements sessions across modules

  • Govern Quote to cash releases and feature adoption
  • 3. AI & Digital Experience (Agentic AI, Journeys & Automation)
  • Drive adoption of AI across quote to cash modules.
  • Design and implement AI-driven workflows, guided experiences, and intelligent automation
  • Integrate AI capabilities into Q2C processes for end-to-end digital journeys
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to enable next-generation experiences using AI.
  • 4. Stakeholder Management & Advisory
  • Partner with Q2C leadership, COEs, Operations, IT, and global business teams
  • Act as a trusted advisor on Q2C business strategy and transformation initiatives
  • 5. Delivery, Programs & Change Management
  • Lead/support end-to-end Q2C programs (implementation, enhancements, upgrades)
  • Drive global rollouts, integration programs, and transformation initiatives
  • Enable change management, user adoption, and continuous improvement
  • Required Skills & Experience
  • Exceptional Communication Skills – Ability to effectively present, document, and articulate architectural solutions to both business and technical audiences.
  • Stakeholder Facilitation – Proven experience leading workshops, design sessions, and collaborative discussions with business stakeholders and subject matter experts.
  • Leadership & Collaboration – Ability to influence and coordinate cross-functional teams across programs, projects, and business functions.
  • Business & Solution Analysis – Strong analytical skills to assess business challenges, evaluate alternatives, and recommend solutions aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Decision Support & Prioritization – Experience managing competing business demands, performing trade-off analysis, and supporting executive decision-making.
  • Business Influence & Change Enablement – Ability to drive adoption of architectural approaches and guide stakeholders through business transformation initiatives.
  • Deep Quote-to-Cash (Q2C) Expertise – Strong understanding of the end-to‑end Q2C lifecycle, including quoting, pricing, contracting, billing, revenue recognition, and commissions.
  • Sales Commissions Domain Expertise – Extensive experience with sales compensation and commissions processes, including plan design, quota management, crediting, and payouts.
  • Implementation Experience – Hands‑on experience designing, implementing, and deploying enterprise solutions.
  • Forma. ai Experience – Experience with Forma. ai commissions platform is highly preferred.
  • Zuora Billing Experience – Knowledge and implementation experience with Zuora Billing is preferred.
  • Technical Aptitude – Ability to perform light development, configuration, scripting, and troubleshooting activities where necessary.
  • AI & Agentic AI Proficiency – Demonstrated experience leveraging AI and Agentic AI capabilities beyond personal productivity, including business process automation, decision intelligence, and enterprise AI solution design.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience working within a leading consulting organization or delivering consulting-style engagements.
  • Advance level of English
  • 12+ years of experience in Quote-to-Cash (Q2C) enterprise applications and business processes.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales commissions architecture, implementation, and transformation programs.
  • Proven track record leading large-scale Q2C transformation initiatives, including process redesign, platform modernization, and organizational change management.
  • Experience partnering with executive stakeholders to define target‑state architectures, roadmaps, and business outcomes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast‑paced, high‑growth environments with a strong ownership mindset and focus on business value delivery.
