BMC Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Sunderland. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional to join a high-performing engineering team within a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on production equipment
  • Diagnose and fault-find on electrical and mechanical systems
  • Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
  • Assist with machinery installation, upgrades and commissioning
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and permit-to-work procedures
  • Support and mentor apprentices where required

About You & Requirements:

  • HNC or equivalent in Electrical / Mechanical Maintenance or related discipline
  • BS7671 qualification
  • Experience within a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment
  • Strong fault-finding skills across electrical and mechanical systems
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and PLC diagnostics
  • Experience with CNC machinery is advantageous
