BMC Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Sunderland. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional to join a high-performing engineering team within a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on production equipment
- Diagnose and fault-find on electrical and mechanical systems
- Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
- Assist with machinery installation, upgrades and commissioning
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and permit-to-work procedures
- Support and mentor apprentices where required
About You & Requirements:
- HNC or equivalent in Electrical / Mechanical Maintenance or related discipline
- BS7671 qualification
- Experience within a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment
- Strong fault-finding skills across electrical and mechanical systems
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and PLC diagnostics
- Experience with CNC machinery is advantageous
