BMC Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a Trainee Mortgage Advisor to join our client, an award-winning group of financial services and technology companies based in Newburn, Newcastle upon Tyne. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to launch a long-term career in the financial services industry. About the Role
- Salary: £26,000 starting salary
- Salary increase to £28,000 upon passing CeMAP (within first 3 months)
- Salary increase to £30,000 upon passing R05 (within first 3 months)
- Commission eligibility begins once 4 supervised cases have been completed post-qualification
- Full-time permanent position
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm (1hr lunch)
- Hybrid Working: Some hybrid flexibility after initial training period
- Free on-site parking
- 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays, increases with length of service)
- Company pension contribution (increases with length of service)

Duties / Responsibilities
- Assist in providing mortgage and protection advice under supervision
- Learn to assess clients’ financial circumstances and recommend suitable products
- Support with preparing mortgage and protection applications
- Liaise with clients, lenders, and internal teams to support case progression
- Build knowledge of compliance procedures and current market regulations
- Shadow experienced advisors and complete training milestones
