Duties/Responsibilities

  • Manufacture and assemble company products in line with customer specifications.
  • Work alongside engineers to ensure all project and Engineered to Order production activities are completed to specification.
  • Accurately read and interpret wiring/schematic diagrams and layout drawings.
  • Conduct point-to-point wiring checks.
  • Identify and resolve any issues during the project assembly and testing phase, following proper escalation and documentation processes.
  • Follow work instructions and predefined rules regarding safety, quality, delivery, and cost standards.
  • Contribute to and implement lean manufacturing processes and continuous improvement activities.
  • Operate area-specific equipment, including safety checks, setting, loading materials, operating, removing, packing, and sorting materials and/or finished products.
  • Properly use and document measurement equipment.

About You

  • Time Served Electrical Engineering & Electrical Craft Apprenticeship to City & Guilds Level 3.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or equivalent Electrical/Wiring qualification.
  • 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience in production.
  • Experience in control panel wiring and Form Four control panels.
  • Experience in a lean manufacturing/production environment.
  • Functional testing of control panels and electrical testing & fault finding of control panel wiring & installations.
  • NICEIC Inspection & Testing certificate and 18th Edition Wiring Regulations would be advantageous.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication.
  • Ability to read electrical engineering drawings and operate equipment controlled via computer touch screens.
