Are you a commercially minded Performance Marketing specialist who thrives on delivering measurable growth? We're working exclusively with an ambitious and rapidly growing digital business looking to appoint a Performance Marketing Strategist to lead the strategy and performance of multiple client accounts. This is an opportunity to step into a senior, client facing role where you'll have genuine influence over marketing strategy, campaign performance and business growth. You'll work alongside a highly skilled technical delivery team, allowing you to focus on developing strategy, driving results and building long term client relationships. Although the role is fully remote, you'll need to be based in the North East and happy to travel into Newcastle for team meetings and client sessions when required.
The Role
As the Performance Marketing Manager, you'll take ownership of a portfolio of client accounts, helping ambitious e-commerce and technology businesses scale through data driven performance marketing. You'll work closely with clients to understand their commercial objectives before developing and implementing performance marketing strategies that deliver sustainable growth. This is a strategic role with plenty of autonomy, making it ideal for someone who enjoys building trusted client relationships while remaining close enough to digital marketing to challenge ideas and drive performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead performance marketing strategies across multiple client accounts.
- Manage client relationships, acting as a trusted strategic advisor.
- Analyse campaign performance and identify opportunities for growth.
- Work closely with Performance Marketing Engineers to deliver exceptional results.
- Provide strategic direction across Google Ads, Meta Ads, Paid Search and Paid Social campaigns.
- Monitor key commercial metrics including ROAS, CAC, LTV and customer acquisition performance.
- Present performance insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure campaigns align with wider commercial objectives.
- Keep up to date with industry trends, platform updates and emerging opportunities.
About You
We're looking for someone who combines technical marketing expertise with strong commercial awareness. You must have:
- At least five years experience in Performance Marketing, Digital Marketing or Growth Marketing.
- A strong background in e-commerce.
- Experience working within a SaaS or technology led business.
- Advanced knowledge of either Google Ads or Meta Ads, with a solid understanding of both platforms.
- Strong experience across Paid Search (PPC) and Paid Social.
- Experience managing or leading performance marketing strategy across multiple accounts.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and turn insights into action.
- A confident, consultative approach with strong client-facing experience.
- The ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate complex marketing concepts clearly.
- A passion for continuous improvement and staying ahead of digital marketing trends.
What's on Offer
- Salary of approximately £60,000, can negotiate based on experience.
- Fully remote working with occasional travel into Newcastle upon Tyne.
- 33 days holiday.
- Christmas shutdown.
- Genuine autonomy and ownership.
- Opportunity to work with ambitious e-commerce and technology brands.
- Career progression within a growing business.
- Supportive, collaborative culture where your ideas are valued.
If you're an experienced Performance Marketing professional looking for a role where strategy, commercial thinking and client relationships are just as important as technical expertise, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today or get in touch for a confidential conversation.
