BMC Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for an Asset Services Analyst to join our client who are an award-winning group of financial services and technology companies based in Newburn, Newcastle Upon Tyne.

You will play a key part in the administration of the over £34 billion of assets under administration at our Client, ensuring the trading of these assets runs smoothly.

  1. Salary remuneration of £31,397 inclusive of a bonus.
  2. Full-time permanent position
  3. Hybrid Working following training – Typically 2 days from home – 3 days office based
  4. Working Hours – Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm (1hr Lunch)
  5. Free on-site parking
  6. 33 days annual leave, including bank holidays (increases with length of service)
  7. Company pension contribution (increases with length of service)
  8. Financial Services Academy – Allowing employees to develop their career within the wealth management sector

What will I be doing?

  1. Daily settlement of our custodians
  2. Reconciling and ensuring that all distributions are posted within CASS deadlines
  3. Responsible for reconciling, investigating and resolving any discrepancies and breaks which may arise on our Platform on a daily basis
  4. Ability to work in a hybrid setting, with the ability to communicate and work with colleagues both from home and in the office.
  5. Maintain high levels of customer service by effective communication whilst liaising with other operational areas and teams.
  6. Develop your skills and knowledge of the team through effective cross skilling.
  7. Ability to think critically when posed with complex problems.
  8. Maintain, contribute, and develop the processes and procedures within the team to evolve and deliver improved services to the customer and the business.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  1. Experience with adhering to tight SLAs
  2. Understanding and interest in what bonds, mutual funds, equities, stocks and commodities are
  3. Positive attitude with a “can do” approach to problem solving
  4. A financial appetite to reconcile accounts, understand financial markets and escalate issues to relevant teams.
  5. Effective problem solver, with the ability to adapt to new challenges which may arise.
  6. Flexible approach for both the Business and Customers, able to adapt quickly to moving priorities, with SLAs and client service always in mind.
  7. Manage a variety of systems including Office 365 applications. A basic knowledge of Excel is vital.
