We are hiring a forward-thinking Group Audit Accountant to join our Client's growing business in a high-impact, standalone role. Equivalent in scope to a Group Accountant, this position offers the opportunity to take real ownership of audit, technical accounting, and group reporting, working directly with the CFO. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment and wants to shape processes, drive improvements, and make the role their own.
The Role
- Leading the external audit process and acting as the main point of contact for auditors
- Owning group consolidations and financial reporting across multiple entities and currencies
- Supporting statutory accounts and tax reporting in collaboration with external advisors
- Driving the transition to updated FRS 102 (with future IFRS alignment)
- Strengthening financial controls, processes, and documentation across the group
- Supporting wider finance initiatives including system improvements and potential M&A activity
About You
- Fully qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Strong background in audit and technical accounting (practice or industry)
- Experience in a multi-entity or group environment
- Confident working autonomously with senior stakeholders
- Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable in a challenging, fast-moving business
