Job Description: Paid Search Lead & Google Ads Specialist This is a hybrid opportunity in Tyneside£35,000 - £40,000 + Bonus Tired of being just another PPC Manager?

Do you spend more time making bid adjustments than making an impact?

Would you love the freedom to own client strategy, build genuine relationships and have a real say in the direction of an ambitious agency?

If you're looking for a role where your ideas are listened to, your expertise is valued and no two days look the same, keep reading...

I'm recruiting on behalf of a growing independent digital agency in the North East that's built an outstanding reputation for delivering performance led campaigns for a wide range of ecommerce and consumer brands.

They're now looking for an experienced Paid Search specialist to become one of the key people within their digital team.

What's different about this role?

This isn't one of those agencies where you'll quietly optimise campaigns all day without speaking to anyone.

You'll become a trusted advisor to your clients.

One day you could be presenting campaign strategy to a fast growing ecommerce retailer.

The next, you'll be optimising Shopping campaigns, improving product feeds or helping pitch for exciting new business.

You will never have to cold call or sell to cold clients.

You'll have genuine ownership from day one.

No micromanagement.

No endless internal meetings.

No cold calling.

Just the opportunity to do what you do best whilst helping clients grow.

The Role

You'll manage a portfolio of approximately 5-10 client accounts, taking ownership of strategy, optimisation and performance across predominantly Google Ads campaigns.

Your time is typically split between

  • Client meetings and presentations
  • Performance reporting
  • Shopping & Performance Max campaigns
  • Product feed optimisation
  • Identifying opportunities to grow client accounts
  • Supporting occasional new business pitches

Google Ads will be your bread and butter, with additional exposure to Microsoft Ads and Amazon Ads.

We'd love to hear from you if you have

  • Around or at least, 3-5 years Paid Search experience
  • Strong Google Ads knowledge
  • Experience managing Shopping and Performance Max campaigns
  • Confidence presenting to clients
  • Commercial thinking and strategic mindset
  • Experience optimising ecommerce campaigns

Experience with any of the following would be a real bonus

  • Amazon Ads
  • Microsoft Ads
  • Feed management platforms such as Data Feed Watch, Channable or similar
  • Meta Ads

Agency or in-house backgrounds are both welcome.

You'll probably enjoy this role if you...

  • Love talking to clients.
  • Like solving problems.
  • Enjoy improving performance rather than simply maintaining campaigns.
  • Want more ownership.
  • Prefer working in a close-knit team where everyone knows each other.
  • Want your next move to genuinely develop your career.

What's on offer?

  • Hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 from home but flexible for negotiation to 2 days office 3 at home)
  • Ongoing learning and development with promotions and progression available
  • Team socials and regular company events
  • Modern offices with a genuinely supportive team
  • A clear opportunity to influence the future of the paid search function as the business continues to grow

Why apply?

The person currently in the role has made a real impact, and they're looking for someone who wants to build on that success, bring fresh ideas and become a key part of the agency's next chapter.

If you're looking for more autonomy, more client ownership and the chance to work alongside a friendly, ambitious team without the politics of a large agency, I'd love to tell you more.
