BMC Recruitment Group are partnering with a top-tier law firm in Newcastle to find a skilled Family Solicitor to join their award-winning Family Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with 3–6 years PQE who’s looking to handle interesting and complex private family law cases. The firm has a strong reputation for client service, delivering high-quality, partner-led advice to a wide range of clients across the UK.
You’ll be joining a team known for tackling challenging cases while supporting each other and fostering professional growth. You’ll be working on a varied caseload of privately funded family law matters, including:
- Divorce and financial remedy cases
- Schedule 1 claims
- Nuptial agreements and family arrangements
- Surrogacy, LGBT+ family law, and complex cases such as abduction or TOLATA disputes
- Arbitration
You’ll manage your own cases, provide clear legal advice, draft key documents, advocate in proceedings, and work closely with senior colleagues. There’s also the opportunity to get involved in business development and contribute to the ongoing growth of the team.

- Has experience managing their own private family law caseload
