BMC Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for an Estimator to join a client who are specialists in ground engineering solutions based in the UK and Ireland.

Duties/Responsibilities
– Manage incoming enquiries, assess, and prioritise business-appropriate tender opportunities
– Develop bid/win strategies tailored to client requirements
– Collaborate with technical and operations teams to prepare cost studies for internal review
– Liaise with technical, operations, and commercial teams to identify risks and agree on mitigation strategies
– Write and present tender offers to clients
– Engage in client interactions and tender negotiations from enquiry receipt to contract award
– Maintain and update the Salesforce CRM database
– Assist the Projects Division Business Development Manager in identifying future clients and major project opportunities

About you
– Relevant civil engineering degree or geotechnical engineering bias, with professional qualification status preferred
– Integrity and professionalism in all duties
– Commitment to health, safety, well-being, and environmental sustainability
– Significant experience in the UK geotechnical industry
– Understanding of the geotechnical design process and estimating geotechnical engineering solutions
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
– Proven ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
– Effective time management and attention to detail
– Proficient in IT skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Salesforce; knowledge of Primavera P6 and Candy is advantageous
– Full UK driving licence
