Job Purpose

We are looking for a Senior Marketing Executive experienced in delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns that will enable the growth of our journal portfolio.

This is a specialist digital marketing role with a particular focus on email marketing, marketing automation and audience segmentation. You will create and manage automated customer journeys that optimise engagement throughout the customer lifecycle, supporting key business objectives including article submissions, readership, retention and growth.

You will combine strategic thinking, technical marketing expertise and strong stakeholder management skills to develop campaigns that are insight-led, personalised and continuously optimised.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver multi-channel marketing campaignsthat deliver on business objectives including readership, engagement, retention, growth and article submissions.

Lead email marketing and automation programmes, by creating personalised customer journeys and audience segments that improve customer engagement throughout the lifecycle.

Use customer data and insightto identify target audiences, inform campaign strategy and optimise marketing activity.

Analyse and report on campaign performance, providing clear insights and recommendations to stakeholders and senior leadership.

Drive testing and optimisation, including A/B testing and experimentation, to continuously improve campaign performance and customer experience.

Act as the email marketing specialist, providing best-practice advice and supporting teams in the effective use of email and marketing technology.

Manage campaign budgets and external partners, including briefing and working with marketing agencies and suppliers where required.

Collaborate across Marketing, Data, Corporate Marketing and other teams to ensure campaigns are aligned with wider business objectives and delivered effectively.

Skills, Experience & Qualification

Degree or equivalent qualification in Marketing or related subject area.

Experience working with an Email Service Provider. (Adestra would be ideal)

Strong experience in email marketing and email automation.

Experience creating and implementing marketing automation programmes.

Experience developing and delivering successful marketing plans and campaigns.

Experience working with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) and customer data.

Experience running A/B testing and experimentation programmes.

Strong campaign reporting and analytical skills.

Experience working with designers to develop campaign collateral.

Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to use data and insight to identify trends, solve problems and recommend improvements.

Strong strategic and creative thinking skills.

Experience within STM publishing.

Experience within healthcare marketing.

Experience working with marketing automation, customer data and MarTech platforms.

Experience working with GA4 and Tableau
