An opportunity has arisen to join our award-winning editorial team at The BMJ as a News Reporter. We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic reporter to help deliver timely, accurate, and impactful stories for The BMJ, one of the world’s most respected medical journals. You will have a portfolio of work, published in the last 12 months, and recent experience working in a digital and print newsroom.
This is a key role within our news team. You will be responsible for producing compelling news articles for our website and print publication, breaking your own original stories, as well as monitoring a wide range of news sources to ensure we stay ahead of the curve on developments relevant to our audience. This includes a strong understanding of research and clinical news. The job will also involve reporting on topics including major policy announcements and pay negotiations.
Key responsibilities- Writing and filing breaking news stories on tight deadlines

- Liaising with editors and subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance
