Job Purpose

Join BMJ as an Advertising Operations Manager and play a key role in delivering high-performing digital advertising campaigns across our globally recognised portfolio of medical journals. You'll drive campaign success across multiple platforms and channels, ensuring an outstanding experience for both clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the setup, delivery, monitoring, and optimisation of digital advertising campaigns across websites and email newsletters.
  • Ensure campaigns meet delivery targets and maintain the highest quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot ad‑serving, creative, tracking, and reporting issues.
  • Partner with Sales to optimise campaign performance and achieve client objectives.
  • Act as the go‑to expert for advertising operations support and technical queries.
  • Support and optimise programmatic advertising revenue and yield.
  • Work with creative agencies to ensure campaign assets are delivered and implemented successfully.
  • Share knowledge of advertising technologies and best practices across the business.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Extensive experience in Ad Operations within a digital publishing environment.
  • Proven experience of Google Ad Manager and ad‑serving technologies.
  • Strong understanding of campaign delivery, tracking, reporting, and optimisation.
  • Analytical mindset with experience using data to improve performance and revenue.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
