About our Client: Our client is a boutique, West London-based law firm looking to add to their team of 10+ within their immigration team. Our client has been ranked twice in 2019 and 2023 as Category 1, Excellence following the Legal Aid Agency Peer Review audits.

About the role: We are currently looking to recruit an Immigration/Public Law Solicitor or Senior Immigration Caseworker with hands-on experience in Immigration and Asylum, Judicial Review/Public Law, to join our busy office in Wembley. The work is privately and publicly funded (60% Public, 40% Private). The candidate will be responsible for his/her own casework on all aspects of immigration and asylum work under legal aid and upwards appeals as well as all types of immigration applications under Appendix FM of the Immigration Rules.

Our client holds a Legal Aid Agency contract on Asylum and Immigration and Public Law, including a detention contract to undertake legal aid work for asylum claims managed under DAC process by the Home Office. They also have a DDAS (Detained Duty Advice Surgeries) contract to provide advice to applicants at several Immigration Detention Centres. They have a strong and successful Public Law Team conducting Judicial Review applications in the Upper Tribunal and Administrative Court and appeals to the Higher Courts.

If you are an Immigration/Public Law Solicitor or Senior Immigration Caseworker with a great passion for representing and delivering justice to some of the most vulnerable individuals in our society, this is a great opportunity for you and you will work with a very diverse and successful team of highly trained and experienced solicitors and immigration caseworkers.

The ideal candidate must have previous experience of running their own caseload, with excellent case management skills and must display an ability to work within a team as well as on their own. Please note that to be successful in this vacancy, the candidate must hold Law Society IAAS Level 2 Senior Immigration Caseworker accreditation.
