Duties:
- Full training and use of saws, cutting and hand tools and other equipment.
- Maintain goods in and inventory controls by stowing stock away in the relevant location.
- Prepare customer orders by processing work orders; picking materials, banding and labelling consignments ready for vehicle loading.
- Prepare customer orders by processing customer collection requests; picking material and loading the customer's vehicle when they arrive to collect their material.
- Assist drivers with loading vehicles and ensuring all material is loaded.
- Operating overhead crane and forklifts to assist with material handling.
- Ensure all stock discrepancies are reported to the Operations Manager or Depot Manager.
- Ensure PPE is worn at all times in the warehouse.
- Champion 5S and good housekeeping practices.
- Carry out all daily, weekly and monthly checks as required by the company's procedures.
- Maintain equipment by performing 'Before Use Checks' and reporting any faults.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping all racking and floor areas free from waste.
- Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing other tasks as specified by your line managers.
- Adhere to our environment policy by ensuring all waste is disposed of in the correct skips (wood, metal, general).
