Following an internal move, we're excited to offer an exciting new opportunity to join us as a Regional People Business Partner. This is a field-based role working with 100+ stores, with the Midlands being the ideal location to be based. We're looking for an experienced PBP with multi-site expertise, preferably in the retail, who is truly focused on the key elements of HR that relate to people, succession, talent, and development. As a Regional People Business Partner, you will spend time in the stores at the heart of our business, driving people engagement and strategy across our teams of amazing colleagues. Partnering the Regional Operations Manager and working closely with the multiple Area Managers, you will develop proactive people plans, recruit for Area, Store and Deputy Store Managers and embrace the internal development across each of your areas!
The key accountabilities of the role will be:
- Leading and supporting the People Agenda across the Region
- Driving succession planning & development with the Regional Operations Manager & Area Managers
- Store & Area Management recruitment with a strong focus on internal succession
- Partner with Area Managers to embed performance management processes across the region
- Proactive management of absence levels across your region, to ensure a reduction in levels and associated costs
- Delivery of training sessions to upskill existing Management on any people/legislation changes
Our ideal People Business Partner candidate will need to demonstrate the following qualities:
- Experience in a regional or multi-site HR role, ideally within retail or a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability of partnering at a senior management level
- An influencer, a negotiator, a listener, and all‑round solutions person
- The natural ability to balance people with commercial outcomes
- Approachable in style, a relationship builder not afraid to have challenging conversations based on rationale

- An inspirational leader, enthusiastic about adding value on a day-to-day basis
