Be part of something bigger at B&M! We’re looking for an enthusiastic Warehouse Operative who is seeking to join our Training Team in The Vault Distribution Centre in Speke on a permanent basis. Our warehouse operatives are the backbone of our distribution and logistics team; without them, our operation comes to a standstill. Training all new operatives is therefore a very important and rewarding role. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that carries out all new starter and MHE training and plays a vital role in upkeeping Health and Safety standards throughout our operation. Although experience is desired, it is not essential as full training will be provided.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Warehouse colleagues are responsible for picking, packing and loading/unloading our stock onto our fleet of vehicles.
- The training team is responsible for training these operatives and focusing on health and safety whilst maintaining professional standards.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Delivering induction presentations and site tours
- Delivering Manual Handling and other Health and Safety training
- MHE training on LLOPs and PPTs
- Creating accounts on our warehouse management system
- Pick training, explaining the headset, device and Blue Yonder voice system
- Completing relevant paperwork in a timely fashion to remain H&S compliant
- Reporting to the Training Manager

- Excellent organisational and communication skills, both written and verbal
- The ability to keep your operation safe, by developing and maintaining a strong culture of Health & Safety
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build effective relationships across all levels
- An understanding of KPIs
- Confidence in challenging poor practices and behaviours
