Be part of something bigger at B&M! We’re looking for an enthusiastic Warehouse Operative who is seeking to join our Training Team in The Vault Distribution Centre in Speke on a six month secondment basis.
Our warehouse operatives are the backbone of our distribution and logistics team, without them, our operation comes to a standstill. Training all new operatives is therefore a very important and rewarding role. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that carries out all new starter and MHE training and plays a vital role in upkeeping Health and Safety standards throughout our operation. Although experience is desired, it is not essential as full training will be provided.
What You’ll Be Doing
Warehouse colleagues are responsible for picking, packing and loading/unloading our stock onto our fleet of vehicles. The training team is responsible for training these operatives and focusing on health and safety whilst maintaining professional standards.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Delivering induction presentations and site tours
- Delivering Manual Handling and other Health and Safety training
- MHE training on LLOPs and PPTs
- Creating accounts on our warehouse management system
- Pick training, explaining the headset, device and Blue Yonder voice system
- Completing relevant paperwork in a timely fashion to remain H&S compliant
- Reporting to the Training Manager

- Strong Leadership and coaching skills to engage, motivate and develop individuals as well as teams
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, both written and verbal
- The ability to keep your operation safe, by developing and maintaining a strong culture of Health & Safety
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build effective relationships across all levels
- An understanding of KPIs
- Confidence in challenging poor practices and behaviours
