Are you a confident and professional Retail Security Officer? Do you enjoy safeguarding people, products, and store environments while delivering a welcoming customer experience? Join our team in Clevedon and other B&M surrounding stores to make a real difference! In this role, you'll be trusted with responsibility and play a vital role in safeguarding the store. Working closely with the Store Management Team, you'll help prevent loss, manage risk and maintain high standards of safety and professionalism. This is a full-time, permanent role with flexibility to work across daytime, evening and weekend shifts - ideal for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility and being an integral part of the store team.
What you'll be doing
- Actively monitoring the store to identify, prevent and report incidents
- Operating and reviewing CCTV systems in line with company policies
- Supporting the enforcement of Health & Safety procedures
- Conducting investigations into stock loss, theft and fraud
- Engaging with customers and colleagues to resolve situations calmly and effectively
We're looking for someone who is alert, calm under pressure and confident in their approach, with a strong sense of responsibility and a customer-first mindset. Similar security experience isn't essential, but the key skills and behaviours required include: - Ability to follow procedures and remain composed in challenging situations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Confidence handling difficult conversations in a professional manner
- Sound judgement, honesty, integrity and a strong work ethic
