Overview of IAS 12, 37, including monitoring new standards and implementation. Contributing to financial reporting governance, including documentation of key judgements, controls, and review processes. Support external audits by coordinating requests, preparing evidence, and assisting with audit committee and investor reporting materials. Ensure technical accounting conclusions and disclosures are well-documented, consistent, and appropriately escalated. Assist with consolidation, reporting systems, and balance sheet substantiation to ensure data integrity, reconciliations, and audit trails. Contribute to process improvements in reporting, controls, and templates to enhance efficiency and quality. Provide IFRS research and analysis to support stakeholders, ensuring consistent treatment across complex areas in collaboration with tax, treasury, and legal teams. Support documentation of key judgements, estimates, and sensitivities, and contribute to training and guidance to strengthen IFRS capability across teams.
What we are looking for:
- Newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, ICAS or equivalent) with a strong interest in IFRS, financial standards and reporting governance.
- Strong attention to detail and a controls mindset, with the ability to produce clear documentation and maintain high compliance standards.
- Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across finance teams and support responses to auditor queries.
- Experience in audit, group reporting or statutory accounts preparation (including exposure to IFRS disclosures), either in practice or industry.
- A keen problem solver: you take ownership to find and implement effective solutions, working independently under pressure.
- Exposure to multi-entity group structures and/or consolidation, and an interest in retail/high-volume business models.
