We are currently searching for a Maintenance and Automation Engineer to join B&M in our Distribution Centre in Ellesmere Port.

The Shift Pattern available is: Monday - Friday, 39 hours per week

This is a hands on role, where you will be supporting our Maintenance Manager with the general maintenance of our distribution centre and the equipment/facilities within, with a focus on the increasing automation technology on site.

This site is the latest in the B&M portfolio and acts as a "imports centre", feeding the rest of the network as opposed to Stores.

This role is offered on a full time, permanent basis.

You will be based on-site, 5 days per week.

  • What You’ll Be Doing
  • Responding swiftly to any breakdowns and issues raised by colleagues
  • Carrying out routine/planned maintenance tasks
  • Maintaining accurate records on our facilities management system.
  • Collaborating and working alongside third party contractors
  • Assisting with equipment installations, project work and general PPM as required.
  • What You’ll Bring
  • A qualification or equivalent industry experience with Automation systems (PLC based)
  • A strong understanding of Health and Safety regulations
  • A "can do" attitude, no job is too small or too large
  • Ability to use both power and hand tools as required
  • Hands on experience in a warehousing environment is desired, but not essential.
