As Senior Space & Visual Merchandising Manager, you will lead the development of our space planning, store clustering and visual merchandising strategy, ensuring every store maximises sales potential while delivering an excellent customer experience.

This is a highly influential leadership role that combines commercial insight, strategic thinking and operational excellence. Working closely with Trading, Marketing, Property and Store Operations teams, you will shape how our products are presented across the estate, driving performance through data-led decision making and best-in-class merchandising standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the overall space planning, store clustering and visual merchandising strategy across the business.
  • Define store clustering principles based on store size, customer demographics, trading patterns and commercial opportunities.
  • Lead the development of planograms, space allocation principles and visual merchandising standards across all store formats.
  • Analyse sales, customer and space productivity data to optimise layouts, product assortment and selling space.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to support range reviews, seasonal campaigns, new store openings, store refreshes and format development.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience in space planning, visual merchandising, retail operations or a related commercial retail function.
  • Strong analytical capability with experience using sales, customer and performance data to drive business decisions.
  • Experienced leader with a track record of developing high-performing teams and delivering results through others.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple business functions.
  • Commercially focused, innovative and customer-centric, with a passion for delivering exceptional in-store experiences and optimising retail performance.
