As part of our continued growth and exciting expansion plans, B&M is creating an additional role within our Group Internal Audit function. We are looking for a motivated and commercially minded Internal Auditor to support the delivery of the annual Internal Audit plan across the business, providing independent assurance over the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management and governance processes.
Working closely with the Head of Internal Audit, you will play a key role in identifying opportunities for improvement, strengthening controls and supporting operational excellence across the Group.
The key responsibilities are:
- Support the delivery of risk-based internal audits in line with the annual audit plan
- Evaluate the effectiveness of operational, financial and compliance controls across the business
- Conduct audits across support centres, retail stores and distribution centres
- Identify control weaknesses, risks and opportunities for process improvement
- Produce clear, concise audit reports with practical and value-adding recommendations
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous internal or external audit experience within retail, FMCG or multi-site operations
- Strong analytical and investigative skills with the confidence to challenge constructively
- Proactive and organised, with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Good Excel skills and an interest in process improvement and control design
- Working towards, or interested in pursuing, a professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or IIA
- Experience of IT general controls or broader IT auditing skills would be advantageous
