As B&M continues to invest in and enhance its nationwide store estate, we are delivering an extensive programme of store refits, refurbishments and strategic projects as a key part of our growth strategy. We’re now looking for a Refit Project Manager to support our ongoing store investment programme across the East of the UK. Reporting to the Store Development Manager, the RPM would work closely with the Property Project Manager (PPM) and support the Retail Execution Managers (REM) to implement multiple store modification and refit projects across our store portfolio.

This is a full-time permanent field-based position, with extensive regional travel required, therefore a valid UK driving licence is essential.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Liaising and co-ordinating with the REM & PPM to complete the multiple, simultaneous projects on time, within budget and to the highest retail standards with minimal disruption to trading operations.
  • Liaising with the PPM, Contractors and onsite Retail Team so that all works activity can be carried out on schedule.
  • Planning contingencies and reacting to unplanned situations, proactively identifying problem areas and providing solutions.
  • Working closely with internal key stakeholders across Property, Store Development and Operations.

The skills & experience you’ll bring:

  • Store/Team Manager or Keyholder experience with a proven record of commerciality and the ability to deliver multiple and concurrent retail refurbishment/refit projects.
  • Excellent visual merchandising skills and knowledge of department layouts.
  • A self-motivated inspirational leader who will add value on a day-to-day basis, coaching & developing others whilst working under tight schedules and extreme pressure.
  • An individual who can demonstrate planning and prioritising skills with excellent decision-making capabilities.
  • An individual who can clearly identify operational issues within a store environment and work with a team to rectify at pace ensuring sustainability.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and organised retail professional, who can deliver excellent store standards and visual merchandising. A proactive approach, attention to detail, and the ability to perform under pressure are essential. Flexibility is key, as the role requires regular travel and staying away from home on a weekly basis – Company car, laptop and phone will be provided.
