We’re on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Food Technologist to join our Quality Assurance team at our Support Centre. Reporting to the Head of Quality Assurance, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our food and pet food products meet all safety, quality, and regulatory standards. This role is fully office based in Speke, Liverpool (L24).
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with food safety regulations, quality standards, and legal requirements for both food and pet food ranges, whilst maintaining product specification files on our internal systems.
- Review and approve food labels, ensuring they meet all legal requirements, including nutritional content, ingredient lists and allergens.
- Perform detailed nutritional analysis and ensure the accuracy of nutritional declarations across a wide range of food and pet food products.
- Stay up to date with the latest food regulations and industry standards, ensuring our products are fully compliant.
- Work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and manufacturers to ensure product quality, packaging, and labelling meet the required standards.
- Address any compliance, quality, or testing issues and recommend improvements for processes and product formulations.
Ideal Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience (at least 2-3 years) in Food Technology, within food and/or pet food.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety, HACCP, BRC, food labelling, and nutritional analysis.
- Experience with regulatory compliance for both food and pet food products.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
