As a Project Manager within our Property team, you will play a vital role in delivering new store openings, relocations, refits and refresh programmes, helping turn approved property opportunities into successful trading stores across the UK.
This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role operating within a fast-paced retail environment.
Working closely with Acquisitions, Estates, Operations and external partners, you'll take ownership of multiple projects from feasibility through to store opening, ensuring delivery is on time, on budget and aligned with B&M's commercial and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of store development projects, including new stores, relocations, refurbishments and estate improvement initiatives.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts and timelines, ensuring effective cost control and delivery against rollout commitments.
- Coordinate contractors, consultants and suppliers throughout design, procurement and construction phases, driving quality and accountability.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across Property, Operations, Merchandising and Design, ensuring projects meet operational and commercial objectives.
- Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, CDM requirements, Health & Safety legislation and company standards, while overseeing commissioning, snagging and handover processes.
- The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience delivering retail fit-out, construction, refurbishment or rollout projects within a fast-paced commercial environment.
- Strong understanding of project management principles, contractor management and retail development processes.
- Knowledge of UK Building Regulations, CDM requirements and Health & Safety legislation.
- Commercially minded with experience managing multiple live projects, controlling costs and delivering against challenging timelines.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across internal teams and external partners.
