We’re looking for a detail-oriented and commercially aware Junior Branch Merchandiser to support stock allocation across our growing network of 780 stores. Reporting to the Branch Merchandising Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the right stock is in the right place at the right time to maximise sales and minimise markdowns.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong Excel skills and a passion for retail to grow their career in merchandising.
This is a full-time, in-office role based at our Support Centre in Speke, Liverpool (L24).
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute and monitor weekly stock allocations across the store estate
- Analyse sales and stock performance to inform replenishment decisions
- Support promotional and seasonal activity through proactive planning and allocation
- Work closely with the Branch Merchandising Manager to optimise availability and sell-through
- Liaise with Buying, Distribution Centre (DC), and Supply Chain teams to resolve stock-related issues
- Maintain and update allocation tools and trackers in Excel
- Identify stores with overstocking or underperformance and recommend corrective actions
- Assist in producing weekly reports and trade summaries
Skills and Experience:
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g. formulas, pivot tables, lookups)
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Confident communicator with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
- Previous experience in a retail or merchandising environment (preferred but not essential)
