Bench Joiner – Sash & Case Window Manufacturing (Cumbernauld)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bench Joiner to join our growing Sash & Case window manufacturing team based in our Cumbernauld workshop. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated craftsperson to contribute to the production of high-quality, bespoke timber windows for projects across Scotland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manufacture, assemble and finish bespoke timber sash and case windows to a high standard
  • Accurately machine timber components in preparation for assembly
  • Work from technical drawings, templates and written specifications
  • Use a range of modern woodworking machinery, hand tools and traditional joinery techniques
  • Ensure all work meets quality, safety and production requirements
  • Support the development of junior team members through training and mentoring where required
  • Contribute to a clean, organised and efficient workshop environment

Requirements

  • Confidence and willingness to train or mentor others when required
  • Minimum 5 years\’ experience as a Bench Joiner within a workshop or manufacturing environment
  • NVQ (or equivalent qualification) in Bench Joinery / Carpentry
  • Strong competency with modern woodworking machinery and traditional hand tools
  • Ability to interpret drawings with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, quality-focused mindset
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines while maintaining high craftsmanship standards
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • A positive, friendly and easy-going attitude, helping maintain a supportive and enjoyable workplace
  • Clean drivers licence
