We are a multi award-winning contract catering company, with a team of trained foodies serving over 45,500 satisfied customers every day. We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Junior Sous Chef to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Producing and developing the highest standard of food within the required time and financial targets.
- Developing new initiatives to improve standards.
- Researching innovative ideas and contributing to all areas of food production, from menu planning and capturing food trends to delighting customers.
- Communicating effectively to promote team spirit, company culture, and adaptability to business needs.
- Gaining valuable feedback from customers to measure success and committing to continuous learning by attending workshops and forums.
- Developing kitchen management skills with a readiness to grow in that area.
- Collaborating with the team to ensure compliance with Food Safety, Health and Safety, COSHH, and HACCP requirements.
Qualifications:
- Relevant experience and education to C & G 706 1 & 2, NVQ or equivalent.
- Food Safety and Health and Safety certificates at level 2.
- Good working knowledge of COSHH and HACCP.
- Approximately 2 years' experience in a similar size operation is advantageous, with some experience supervising others.
