BM Caterers are a multi award-winning contract catering company with a team of trained foodies serving over 45,500 satisfied customers every day. We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Junior Sous Chef to join our team.

This is a Junior Sous Chef role to work from 7am to 3:30pm – Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities
  • Produce and develop the highest standard of food within the required time and financial targets. You’ll have ideas of your own and will be keen to develop new initiatives to improve standards.
  • Research innovative ideas and contribute to all areas of food production, from menu planning to capture food trends and delight our customers.
  • Be an effective communicator who promotes team spirit and company culture and can adjust the pace of work to meet business needs.
  • Maintain a strong customer focus, gather valuable feedback to measure success, and participate in continuous learning by attending workshops and forums.
  • Develop kitchen management skills and readiness to improve and grow.
Qualifications
  • Relevant experience and educated to C&G 706 1 & 2, NVQ or equivalent.
  • Food Safety and Health and Safety certificates at Level 2; confident in working knowledge of COSHH and HACCP.
  • 2 years’ experience in a similar size operation would be an advantage, along with some experience in supervising others.
