B&M Care Head Office is looking for an Operations Manager to primarily be responsible for the continuous financial growth of the company and the successful operation of the Company’s care homes.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting home managers to maximise occupancy, maximise profits and control costs to budgets.
  • Working and supporting the Director of Governance with robust monitoring of homes audits, PCS, Radar and inspections.
  • Assisting where required with supporting and optimising the successful operation of all the Company’s Care Homes.
  • Managing a care home during a manager's period of absence.
  • Being supportive in new care homes as required, working alongside the Home Manager to optimise the successful operation.
  • Ensuring that all homes are working in line with the Company’s quality management system.
  • Involvement in heading up the Company’s Management Pathways scheme and functioning in an educational/training and development role for the success of future B&M Care home Managers.
  • Assisting Managers in resolving problem situations in their homes.
  • Assisting in the induction and development of senior members of a home’s management team.
  • Communicating effectively with Managers to achieve the objectives of the business by providing support and guidance.
  • Supporting Managers to be inspiring leaders.
  • Travelling to any of the Company’s homes as required.

Skills, Characteristics and Experience:

  • NVQ Level 5 or Registered Manager Award (RMA) or equivalent.
  • Understanding the BCC model, within the organisation.
  • Business Care Compliance.
