We’re looking for an experienced Mixed Veterinary Surgeon to join our long-established independent practice and become part of a team that genuinely enjoys working together. We’re incredibly proud of the people who work here. What you’ll be doing:
- A mix of consults, surgery, ambulatory work and everything in between
- Working alongside an experienced, supportive team who are always happy to help
- Building great relationships with clients who value continuity and personal service
What we’re looking for:
- A Veterinary Surgeon with 7+ years’ experience
- Someone who genuinely enjoys mixed practice and the variety it brings
- A confident clinician who works well as part of a team
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Full driving licence and ability to drive a manual vehicle
- Someone who enjoys their work and doesn’t take themselves too seriously
What you’ll get from us:
- Competitive salary from £65,000+, dependent on experience
- Following successful completion of 6-month probation period, you will also receive a monthly profit share scheme, birthday leave and discounted pet care
- 6+ weeks annual leave to start, with additional holiday awarded as your service grows, up to 8 weeks
- Salary review at 12 months, plus annual reviews
- Generous CPD allowance and ongoing training
- RCVS and VDS fees paid
- Full sick pay after one year’s service
The rota:
- Full-time or part-time considered (minimum 3 days per week)
- 1 Saturday morning in 3
- Shared bank holiday cover
- Small contribution to our 1-in-6 weekend on-call rota
- For every weekend on call worked, you’ll receive either the following Friday or Monday off, giving you a long weekend in return
- You’ll never be on-call alone. Weekend cover is shared within a supportive group of three vets
