Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Location: Derby
Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 (DOE) Study Support
Working Pattern: Full-time, Office-Based (Some flexibility available)

The Role:This is far more than just a basic admin role. You’ll be part of a collaborative and knowledgeable finance team that will actively help you develop — through hands-on training, exposure to varied tasks, and mentorship from experienced professionals.
You’ll build a foundation across key areas of finance and be encouraged to step up and take on more as you grow in confidence and capability.
Key Responsibilities:-
Assist with reconciliations and financial reporting

Post invoices, payments, and journals

Help prepare accurate working papers and support documentation

Take ownership of recurring and administrative finance tasks

Maintain clear, organised records and files for internal review

Collaborate with internal teams and support process improvements

Experience in a finance or accounts role (or relevant admin background)

Some exposure to finance processes such as reconciliations or invoicing

Strong Excel skills (e.g., sorting, formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)

Studying AAT or looking to start qualifications (Preferred)

A proactive, positive attitude and a real desire to learn
