A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant to join a well-established and growing organisation in the specialist contracting sector. This role offers the chance to take on a key financial position within a dynamic business, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in financial operations.

  • Manage daily financial transactions, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General Ledger Accounting.
  • Conduct account reconciliations and process payment transactions.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in collaboration with external tax consultants.
  • Oversee invoice processing, dunning procedures, and cash bookkeeping.
  • Ensure compliance with tax obligations, including VAT, corporate tax, and customs regulations, working closely with tax advisors.
  • Support the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.
  • Oversee payroll accounting and monthly reporting requirements.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and support optimisation projects.

Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or AAT). Proven experience in financial accounting, ideally in a project-based environment. Strong working knowledge of Xero accounting software. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, SUMIF, and Pivot Tables.
