Are you an experienced Payroll professional looking for a role where you can combine your payroll expertise with HR support responsibilities? Do you enjoy working in a collaborative environment where no two days are the same?

We are delighted to be supporting a growing international business in the search for a Payroll & HR Coordinator to join the team on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of payroll while supporting the wider HR team with recruitment, onboarding and day-to-day people activities.

Reporting to the HR Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring payroll is delivered accurately and on time, while contributing to a positive employee experience across the business.

The Opportunity

This is a varied role with payroll at its core, supported by a friendly Finance team, alongside involvement in HR administration, recruitment coordination and employee onboarding. You'll also have the opportunity to support benefits administration and gain exposure to international payroll. Following an initial handover period, the role offers a hybrid working pattern, with approximately 50% of your time spent in the office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the monthly payroll process, including supporting international payroll for Nordic offices
  • Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time, working closely with the Finance team
  • Support recruitment activities, including interview coordination and administration
  • Manage employee onboarding and new starter processes
  • Provide day-to-day HR administrative support across the employee lifecycle
  • Assist with employee benefits administration
  • Maintain accurate employee records using the HR system
  • Support HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Build strong relationships with managers and employees across the business

About You

We're looking for an organised and proactive individual with strong payroll experience and a genuine interest in HR. You’ll bring:

  • Previous payroll experience, ideally within a business of around 200 employees
  • Some HR experience, including onboarding, recruitment or general HR administration
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Confident systems skills with the ability to learn new software quickly
  • A positive attitude and willingness to develop your HR knowledge
  • Experience of international payroll would be advantageous
  • Experience using Mallpay, Personio or Teamtailor would be beneficial but is not essential
