This role offers a varied mix of employee relations, policy development, recruitment support, and HR administration, giving you the opportunity to make a real impact on the employee experience while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and HR best practice.
The Opportunity
As a trusted member of the HR team, you will provide expert advice and guidance to managers and employees across a broad range of HR matters. You'll be responsible for managing employee relations cases, supporting recruitment, maintaining HR policies, and helping to create a positive and engaging workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a wide range of employee relations casework, including absence management, disciplinary, grievance, probation, and flexible working cases
- Coach, support, and advise managers on people management issues, building confidence and capability
- Review and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment legislation and HR best practice
- Support employee engagement, wellbeing, and recognition initiatives, including the annual employee survey
- Provide guidance throughout recruitment and selection processes
- Produce clear xwwtmva and effective HR communications for employees and managers
- Maintain accurate HR records and employee data, ensuring GDPR compliance
- Produce HR reports and analyse people data to identify trends and support business decisions
- Ensure all employee changes are processed accurately and communicated to payroll
- Keep up to date with employment legislation and emerging HR best practice, driving continuous improvement across the HR function
