We’re Hiring: Accounts and Audit Accountant

Job Description An excellent opportunity has arisen at an established accountancy firm in Wisbech who are looking to hire from a Semi-Senior, up to Senior Accountant level in a mixed Audit and Accounts job. This allows for a well-rounded role, and can offer excellent career progression, as well as competitive salaries. \n Key Responsibilities: \n Audit (60%) \n \n Lead and manage audit engagements, from planning to finalisation \n Supervise and mentor audit teams, ensuring compliance with audit methodologies \n Review audit workpapers and ensure adherence to UK GAAP, IFRS, and auditing standards \n Identify and evaluate audit risks; develop and implement risk mitigation strategies \n Liaise with clients to gather information and address audit queries \n \n Accounts (40%) \n \n Prepare and review statutory financial statements for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders \n Assist in the preparation of management accounts and other financial reports \n Ensure accuracy and compliance of accounting records and supporting schedules \n Support the year-end accounts package and liaise with tax teams as required \n \n Requirements: \n \n Exposure to accounts preparation and client-facing responsibilities \n Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite \n \n Benefits: \n \n Competitive salary and benefits \n Professional development and training opportunities \n Pension scheme and health benefits \n Full study support \n Progression opportunities \n \n \n JBRP1_UKTJ
