An excellent opportunity has arisen at an established accountancy firm in Wisbech who are looking to hire from a Semi-Senior, up to Senior Accountant level in a mixed Audit and Accounts job. The role is likely to be 60% Audit with 40% of the role in Accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Audit (60%)
- Lead and manage audit engagements, from planning to finalisation
- Supervise and mentor audit teams, ensuring compliance with audit methodologies
- Review audit workpapers and ensure adherence to UK GAAP, IFRS, and auditing standards
- Identify and evaluate audit risks; develop and implement risk mitigation strategies
- Liaise with clients to gather information and address audit queries
- Accounts (40%)
- Prepare and review statutory financial statements for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
- Assist in the preparation of management accounts and other financial reports
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of accounting records and supporting schedules
- Support the year-end accounts package and liaise with tax teams as required
