A well-established and highly regarded independent accountancy practice is looking to recruit a Semi-Senior / Senior Accountant to join its friendly team based close to Retford, Worksop, Gainsborough, Bawtry and Doncaster. Working with a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses, sole traders and limited companies, this is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive firm that offers genuine career progression, flexible working and exposure to a broad range of accounting and taxation work.
Main Responsibilities:
- Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Preparing corporation tax computations and business tax returns
- Completing bookkeeping, VAT returns and management accounts where required
- Managing your own portfolio of clients or supporting senior colleagues with client work
- Reviewing accounts and tax work completed by junior team members, depending on experience
- Assisting with audit assignments where required
- Advising clients on accounting software and responding to day-to-day accounting queries
- Working closely with Managers to ensure client deadlines are met and work is completed to a high standard
